Welcome to the world of adventure through my lens!
I am Kody A. Phillips, a Colorado-based travel and wildlife photographer, conservationist, U.S. Navy veteran and proud Appalachian. My deep appreciation for the natural world and the wildlife that inhabits it uniquely blends with my ability to tell stories using photography and videography. I strive to capture fleeting moments and untold stories that encourages people to protect our extraordinary planet.
From 2018 to 2023, I served in the United States Navy as a Mass Communication Specialist. My time in the Navy honed my skills in communication, storytelling, and adaptability—qualities that seamlessly translate into my work behind the camera. After separating from the military, I enrolled at the University of Colorado, Boulder, to pursue a career in conservation so that I may educate others.
Whether I'm trekking through remote wilderness to document elusive wildlife or immersing myself in local communities during my travels, my mission is to share authentic, impactful stories that resonate with viewers. I take pride in using my photography to raise awareness about conservation, wildlife education, and the beauty of exploration.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I invite you to explore my portfolio and connect with me to collaborate, share stories, or simply celebrate the wonders of our world together.
